Detoxification at Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center is designed to provide a secure environment in which adults can face severe withdrawal symptoms of chemical dependency with minimal discomfort.
Drug & Alcohol Detox
The program follows the 12-step model with a focus on medical management, introduction to the disease process and transition into the next most appropriate level of care.
Once patients finish detoxification, they can transition into our inpatient dual diagnosis program or chemical dependency day treatment. The results of a level-of-care assessment help us determine the initial level of care most suited for the patient.
